We have many books that have been published through OTBS of a variety of genres. Please let us know if you have a preference. I would also like to know if you would like to have a few people reading the same book at the same time so you can discuss it here. Let me know when you are ready for your first ebook and we will give you a download. We can keep you reading at your own pace. We will also have gift certificates and other prizes for your participation. Who doesn't like prizes? If you don't use an ereader or tablet you can get the book in PDF format as well. 8127665697?profile=original

  • Now that Denver Avalanche hockey is over for this year, and my new novel is waiting for editing, I will have more time for reading. Because I like to read mysteries, I write mysteries, and because I write mysteries I like to read mysteries or anything else well-written. I can see some real advantages to reviews from this group. Thanks for inviting me.

  • Deb, Have you heard that some authors and publishers have had Amazon take some of their reviews off of their books? The reason is supposedly - the reviews were too good and shills for the author written by fellow authors who had not even read the book - i.e.: not real reviews.

As Amazon is trying to stay fresh and have good reviews, having reviewers tag their posts as fellow authors might just get the review squashed.

  • I am really really going to send you all ebooks to review. I am very excited about it. We are in a transition of connecting the sites and doing some techie stuff right now. As soon as the books are ready we will get them to you. Let me know of any ideas you might have to make this really fun. We are going to become the curators of new voices to help them separate themselves from all the choices there are for readers. I have just completed a course on Digital marketing and want to find ways to put all writers on equal footing whether traditionally published or self-published. This is a new world and we can do many wonderful things. Keep in touch.

  • Hello Deborah,

    Thank you.

    Regards,

    Warren Thurston

  • I'd definitely be interested in this - probably next week when I'm not snowed under!  Will let you know as soon as I'm ready.

  • I am in the process of arranging this for you. Thank you for your interest.

  • If you have the time you are welcome to go to the site to take a look at potential titles. I will then arrange for the ebooks for you all to review. If something catches your eye let me know.

  • Hello Deborah,

I have checked out the "Off The Bookshelf" site and would like to review - Alchemy and Evil, The Bornless One - by Jc Gallacher.

I have a kindle on which to read the book, and would have a review ready in three weeks.

  • Hello Deborah,

I would like to review books formated for kindle.

My genre preferences are, fantasy (middle grade readers and adult), mystery/thriller but no romance. If any are available I would like to read plays for adults and children too.

  • I like fiction followed by historical non-fiction. Since I'm working on a novel I usually read books twice--the really good ones--that is. First to settle in and enjoy the work of the author, the story, and always the language of the book. And then I go back to the parts that amazed me and try to see how the author brought their words to life. Memoir is also a favorite but for settling in at night, it's always literary fiction.
