Never mind chick-flicks. Are there movies that men enjoy as much as women enjoy that have strong romantic undertones? "Gone With The Wind". "West Side Story". Perhaps there needs to be a non-romance line of men-mance books that reflect what works in other media. Jeff

I know there was a love interest, in a Magdalene-Jesus derivative way. But that's not the tension that stayed with me. Do you think women were more likely to notice the romance hook?

My husband likes the TV program Castle. It's not really billed as a romance, but if you ask any woman who watches, it's romance all the way.
My husband enjoys watching the films Love Actually and Bridget Jones' Diary. He'll watch just about anything I want to watch, but I wouldn't say he'll pull any of these off the shelf to watch if I'm not around. He's an engineer so he's all about programs like Mythbusters and How It's Made on TV, or any thing with mindless violence on the big screen . . . the Matrix, Cowboys and Aliens, Star Wars, etc.
I think Tank Girl is as close to romantic as he gets! ;-)
