When we first got married, we did our own taxes because they were straightforward. We didn't have any investments or anything complicated coming right out of the gate. As the years have progressed, my husband's income has gone up, I've begun freelancing, and we've begun saving for retirement, we've gotten accountants to do our taxes. Things are so stress-free in March and April for us now! :>
